2 vaccinated S'poreans die of Covid-19; 1,647 new cases in Singapore

SINGAPORE – The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 1,647 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore on Monday (Sept 27), taking the total number of cases here to 89,539.

There were 1,280 cases in the community, and 362 among dormitory residents. The remaining five were imported cases.

Two people – an 80-year-old Singaporean woman and 74-year-old Singaporean man – also died from Covid-19 complications, bringing the total Covid-19 death toll here to 80.

Both of them were vaccinated against the virus but had various underlying medical conditions.
