‘Aggressive’ man escorted off plane blacklisted by SIA after hitting an employee on another flight

The ‘unruly’ man who got escorted off a flight last week has been blacklisted by Singapore Airlines following more intolerant behavior.

The airline said yesterday that the unidentified man has been banned from taking their flights after he hit an employee while on a connecting flight to Copenhagen. This was right after he was escorted off the plane from Bangkok on Nov. 8 by auxiliary police.

“After review, we decided to blacklist the passenger from all SIA flights,” the airline wrote.

The airline last week said that during the Bangkok flight, he behaved in an “unruly manner” by continually asking for alcohol, water and did not follow safety warnings from staff during the flight.

Viral videos showed the man cussing, taunting and threatening the cabin crew.

‘Unruly’ passenger escorted off plane for horrid flight behavior: SIA

After he was escorted off the plane, the man was issued a verbal warning and was subsequently “calm” and behaved “appropriately,” according to SIA. Thus, the airline let him onboard his connecting flight to Copenhagen where he returned back to being disruptive.

SIA said at one point, the man became “aggressive” and hit an employee. Things went “uneventfully” afterward.

Upon review, the airline said they decided to blacklist him from all SIA flights.

The employee who he struck had received medical attention and sustained minor injuries.

“Singapore Airlines takes the well-being of our staff and customers seriously. We will take appropriate action against any passenger who may risk the safety of our staff and customers,” the airline wrote.
