Tyson Fury has congratulated Francis Ngannou following his win over Ciryl Gane and challenged the UFC heavyweight champion to ‘earn some real money’ in a fight against him.

Ngannou defended his title with an unanimous decision win at UFC 270 but his future with the promotion remains uncertain.

The Cameroonian has persistently talked up a move into boxing to challenge Fury with ‘The Gypsy King’ renewing their recent war of words on Sunday.

‘Congratulations, Francis Ngannou,’ Fury wrote on Twitter.

‘But if you want to make real money, come see the big Gypsy King.’

Ngannou has been at odds with the UFC over his future in the octagon and has openly expressed his dissatisfaction with his pay.

And following his win over Gane, the 35-year-old cast further doubt over his future in the octagon.

‘It’s not simply money, obviously, money is a part of it, but it’s also the terms of the contract that I don’t agree with,” Ngannou told reporters when asked about his contract.

‘I don’t feel like it’s fair. I don’t feel like I’m a free man. I don’t feel like I’ve been treated good.

‘It’s unfortunate that I have to be in this position, that I have to say that. I feel like everyone should have the right to claim for what’s best for them.

‘At the end of the day, we put a lot of work for this job and we take a lot on our body to make it happen, so we can have a fair and square deal.’
