Get in touch with home-based bakers, crafters, and more on The Collective Marketplace

If you’re looking for home-based businesses to support, there’s a new app dedicated to that.

Hundreds of Singapore’s home-based businesses have listed on The Collective Marketplace app, selling crafts or food and beverage. The platform, founded by four young entrepreneurs, also offers deliveries.

“Supporting locals is at the core of what we do,” co-founder Vernetta Fong wrote in a press release. “Our focus is to help home-grown businesses to thrive and make them mainstream.”

Those looking to sell on the platform can list their business there free of charge, although there is a 15% commission fee.

Among those already on the platform are Marymount Bakehouse Singapore selling sourdough bread and Pastry Cottage selling durian puffs. Other goodies you can find there include homemade cakes, bottled oil, kombucha tea, and ice-cream.

The app is fairly simple to use, even for sellers tracking and managing orders and deliveries, as well as buyers browsing through the platform. There is an in-built chat feature to communicate directly with the various business owners.

The Collective Marketplace is available for download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
