HK$800,000 in antiques and jewellery stolen from Hong Kong shop in latest of string of burglaries




Antiques and jewellery worth HK$800,000 (US$103,200) were stolen from a shop in one of the busiest shopping districts in Hong Kong on Friday, the latest in a spate of burglaries in recent months.The owner of the shop arrived at his Sai Yee Street store in Mong Kok shortly after 9.30am to find the main gate prised open.“Initial investigation shows some antiques, jewellery and watches were stolen, and the valuables were estimated to be worth about HK$800,000,” a police spokesman said.Detectives…
