Residents across Hong Kong reported “choking” smoke in the air on Wednesday night, hours after a barge carrying 2,000 tonnes of metallic waste burst into flames near Stonecutters Island.Thick dark smoke was seen rising into the sky from the 100-metre (328 foot) -long vessel in Victoria Harbour after it caught fire at about 5.20pm.
