Hong Kong’s retail sales in October surged 12 per cent year on year, marking the ninth straight month of a rebound, as the government’s HK$36 billion (US$4.6 billion) electronic consumption voucher scheme continued to sustain the recovery.Provisional figures released by the Census and Statistics Department on Tuesday showed October sales jumped to HK$30.7 billion.
