Indonesia unveils construction site of new capital city as Jakarta sinks into the sea




Nusantara will be a ‘sustainable forest city’ twice the size of New York that aims to be carbon-neutral by 2045 – replacing the current capital, Jakarta, which is congested, polluted, prone to earthquakes and rapidly sinking into the Java Sea.
