Makkah governor oversees signing of deals to promote scientific research, poetry

JEDDAH: Makkah Gov. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal witnessed the signing of two cooperation deals between the Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), King Abdul Aziz University (KAU), and Taif University’s academy of Arabic poetry.
The first agreement, inked by ISESCO Director General Dr. Salim Al-Malik and KAU Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Youbi, aims to establish joint programs, projects, and activities in research areas such as communication, culture, science, and education. Al-Malik and Dr. Youssef Asiri, the president of Taif University, penned the second deal which will support poetry in all of its forms, and promote the academy’s activities.
