Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari announced the special Hari Raya payment at an event for state civil servants today.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari today announced a special financial assistance of half a month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,000 for civil servants in the state in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The payment, amounting to RM22.67 million, will be made on May 19.

Amirudin said it would also be extended to state executive councillors, the speaker, deputy speaker, assemblymen, top management and members of the state government service.

Community leaders, including the chairmen of village community management councils, liaison officers of new villages, heads of Indian communities and Women Empowerment programme supervisors will also receive RM1,000.

Speaking at a Ramadan event for state civil servants, Amirudin added that mosque officials, including imams, will receive RM500 through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme of the state government subsidiaries.
