PETALING JAYA: The AstraZeneca vaccine will now be made available to all residents in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, on a voluntary first-come-first-serve basis.

Science, technology and innovation minister Khairy Jamaluddin said a special vaccination centre will be set up to administer the vaccine.

The decision comes in light of public concern regarding the use of the vaccine in Phase 2 of the national Covid-19 immunisation programme, following cases of thrombosis among recipients reported in European countries, some of which have put the vaccine on hold.
