Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele would consider joining Newcastle United ahead of Manchester United if he is to leave the Camp Nou next year.

Dembele is in the final year of his contract at Barcelona and with negotiations over a new deal ongoing.

The Catalan giants had been confident of tying the 24-year-old down to a new deal but El Nacional report he is still considering his options and has not ruled out signing for a new club.

The report claims Dembele has offers from the Premier League with Manchester United interested in signing him on a free transfer next summer when his deal with Barca expires.

But the France international is even more tempted by an offer from Newcastle, who are ready to offer him an ‘incredible’ salary of €15m-a-year.

The report adds Barcelona are in no position to offer that sort of money with other interested clubs, including Juventus, Bayern Munich and Liverpool also not willing to go that high.

Barcelona boss Xavi is working hard to get Dembele to commit to a new contract with the club.

But if a new deal cannot be agreed, Marca report the club will consider cashing in when the January transfer window opens in a deal worth €30m.

Newcastle are also keen to sign Philippe Coutinho from the Catalan giants with the Brazilian playmaker now interested in a move to Tyneside after making a U-turn over his own club future.
