Performers joining Taipei New Year’s Eve Party unveiled

TAIPEI (The China Post) — As the end of the year draws near, Hebe Tien and Wu Bai will join fans for the opening performance and count down at the upcoming Taipei New Year’s Eve Party, the organizer of the event said on Nov. 5. 

As the hosts in last year’s event, comedians Mickey Huang and Lulu Huang will team up again and host the annual concert this year. Singer Hebe is also looking forward to her upcoming New Year’s Eve performance in Taipei.

“The year 2020 has been a successful year with the birth of my fifth albums and two tours (5th album and 2nd tour), so I’m excited to share my new works with you on stage on the last day of the year!” Hebe told the local media.

She added: “2020 may not be an easy year for everyone, but we are lucky to be able to celebrate together at the end of the year, and I hope everyone is safe and healthy in 2021.”  

Along with rock band China Blue, Taiwan’s “king of rock” Wu Bai will be the last performer and count down with fans at Taipei City Hall Plaza.

The 52-year-old rock star said: “Hopefully, we can say goodbye to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and look forward to 2021 as we move one step closer to a vaccine!”
