Larry Sng and Steven Choong declared support for the PN government led by Muhyiddin Yassin.

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR’s Julau division chief Larry Sng and Tebrau division chief Steven Choong have been sacked from the party with immediate effect following their expression of support for the Perikatan Nasional government.

Sng and Choong are both MPs, representing Julau and Tebrau respectively. They were elected in the 2018 general election.

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the decision against the two was made at the monthly meeting of the party’s leadership council today.

“The council also discussed the legal action that will be taken against those who contested on PKR tickets, but betrayed the people’s mandate and have left the party,” he said in a statement today.

Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin today confirmed receiving statutory declarations from the two MPs expressing support for the PN government, headed by Muhyiddin as prime minister.
