PS5 stock UK – live: Game restock sells out, here’s when Amazon could drop next

Battlefield 2042 digital standard edition on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 now offers cross-gen bundle

UPDATE: The PS5 has sold out at Game. It could drop at Amazon this week . Read on for more information.

The PS5 launched in November 2020, but supply problems and a global chip shortage caused the production of Sony’s next-generation console to slow to a crawl. New stock is still difficult to find, and when it does appear the PS5 sells out almost instantly.

September was a mixed bag when it came to PS5 restocks, but was still much better than June and July. Although not as good as August, we still saw some hefty drops at VeryBTEEArgosAmazon, Smyths Toys and Game. We had 10 drops to end the month of September. The question now, is, will October be any good? It doesn’t look too peachy so far. This month, we’ve only seen online restocks from AO.comBT, and ShopTo, plus an in-store drop at Smyths Toys.

If you’re still on the lookout for a PS5, you’ve come to the right place. Our liveblog is on hand to give you the latest insight on Playstation 5 restocks from all major UK retailers, both online and in-store, as well as providing details on rumoured releases, the latest PS5 games and accessories to snap up.

After an hour and a half, the PS5 is now out of stock at Game. Stock didn’t last as long as it usually does, with three hours being the norm, but we are getting closer to Christmas, and demand for the console is only increasing.

The console could come back in stock later this afternoon after Game has sorted through the cancelled orders, so stay on this page and we’ll update you soon.

‘Ratchet and Clank’ PS5 review

Some of Game’s PS5 bundles come with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. If you’re thinking about buying the bundle and aren’t too sure about the game. Don’t fear, our reviewer loved it.

“Rift Apart has charm to burn, in its character design, lively combat mechanics, and explorable levels that feel large without seeming maze-like, busy without being cluttered,” they wrote in their review. “This is one of the best looks yet at what the new console generation has to offer. It’s big, it’s bright, and it’s almost impossible not to love.”

Can you bypass the Game PS5 queue?

Afraid not, folks. There’s no real way of avoiding that slow walking man, but we’d recommend choosing an obscure bundle – one that might not get a lot of attention – if you want to speed through the queue. Standalone consoles sold out within two minutes.

It seems like some of you have already breezed through the queue and paid for your bundle, though. If you’re still waiting, hang on in there. It seems like there’s a fair few consoles to go around.

A tip for the potential Amazon PS5 restock

(The Independent)

If you’re waiting for Amazon to restock the PS5 this morning and haven’t tried to get a console from the retailer before, we’d recommend signing up for Amazon Prime if you aren’t already a member. Since July, drops have only been exclusively available to customers who have a Prime membership.

Game PS5 restock confirmed to take place this morning

And just as we predicted, Game’s early warning tweet is here, and yep, the retailer’s suite of PS5 bundles will be going live this morning.

There are 50 bundles listed on its page right now, so this is going to be a pretty significant drop. Our top tip? Scroll to page two and pick a bundle from there – more people are going to pick one from the first page. It could drop any time between now and midday.

A reminder of the Game PS5 early warning system

Game kindly alerts its Twitter followers about a PS5 restock the afternoon before a drop or sometimes even the morning of a drop, so it’s well worth following the retailer on Twitter for a little head’s up. Of course, if Game does warn us about a drop, we’ll let you know here on the blog.

If Game doesn’t drop today, it could still drop this week on Wednesday or Thursday, so stay vigilant, PS5 hunters.
