Rock star Amy Search’s speedy recovery after falling onstage gain praise on social media (VIDEO)

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 — “Old in age but young at heart” is one of the comments from social media users following Datuk Amy Search’s recent performance.

Last Saturday (Nov 12), the local rock legend — whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman — performed at an event in Bera, Pahang. The 64-year-old was getting onto a stage monitor before jumping and missing his landing.

However, the Fantasia Bulan Madu singer recovered quickly from the fall and continued to perform, which drew roars of approval from the crowd.

A TikTok video of the incident went viral, with many in the comments’ section applauding Amy’s rock star spirit despite his age.

“I salute him! Even though he fell, he managed to maintain his voice and is still able to entertain fans,” commented TikTok user @fadzilbakrie.

“Amazing Tok Amy! Energy like a 30-year-old,” added @AsaldeltBergaya.

“You know it’s a pro-move when he fell and he acted like nothing happened, king of rock kapak indeed,” user @InderaKayangan wrote.

However, there are fans who were worried about the singer and advised him to take it down a notch.

“Uncle Amy, please don’t go around climbing and jumping from things after this ya,” urged user @boy.

“I feel sorry for Uncle Amy, he was in high spirits to entertain us that he forgot that he’s an elderly person already. May you be blessed and protected by the Almighty,” commented @RoslanRazak270.

“Please no more jumping after this, just do a normal show as long as you’re taking care of your health,” added @AkopAkopAkop.
