Sephora opens third Hong Kong store at Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Art Mall

A new Sephora store has opened its doors at Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Art Mall, marking the beauty chain’s third outlet in the city.

The store, which is the first in Kowloon, opened earlier this month. The 265 square meter store features a Beauty Shout-Out kiosk exclusive to the new outlet, with a screen displaying product recommendations and videos submitted by Sephora fans.

To celebrate the opening, Sephora is offering a range of perks for shoppers throughout January, including double points for members and free sample sets upon minimum spending.

Sephora’s flagship in Hong Kong opened at IFC mall in Central in September 2019, a comeback about a decade after the brand entered the Hong Kong market in 2008 and left just two years after.

The internationally recognized chain’s curtailed presence in the city was attributed to the high rent and the store’s poor location in Mong Kok, the South China Morning Post reported.

A second store in Causeway Bay’s Windsor House opened last year.

According to a 2019 Inside Retail report, Sephora plans to increase its store count to eight in the city within the next few years.
