Star shocks Bali with impromptu gig

Tones and I has surprised adoring fans in Bali by giving them a performance that some have described as “awesome”.

The singer from Mount Martha had fans dancing and jumping around during her performance, which featured her own songs and requests from the audience.

Video shared by those lucky enough to see her belt out some tunes at Legends resort saw her singing her number one hit ‘Dance Monkey’ as well as covers of classics like ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King.

“Legends is just the best time! Tonight we were all so lucky to have Tones and I there to belt out a few numbers in her stellar voice, she was very gracious with requests,” the woman sharing the video said.

The multi-ARIA award winner gave an energetic performance, joined by holiday-makers who were quick to jump on the dance floor with their favourite singer.

Tones was joined by her fiance Jimmy Bedford, who joined in on the fun, dancing in a birdcage.

The clip emerges just days after the singer’s biggest hit ‘Dance Monkey’ was on the “do not play” list of Wednesday star Jenny Ortega.

The statement that Ms Ortega has banned the song from her home made international headlines.

“I’m not big on pop. A couple of years ago, there was a song out called Dance Monkey,” the actress began, referencing Tones & I’s song.

“If anyone ever played that in my house, they’re instantly being kicked out.”
