Taking a Look at the Most Anticipated God of War Villain – Thor

Taking a Look at the Most Anticipated God of War Villain - Thor

The popular game series, God of War, has been quite eminent when it comes to bringing God into play. If you’re an avid follower of the series, you probably have already seen the likes of Zeus, Ares, and the almighty Thanatos. However, that’s not the end of it.

Now, we’ve moved to Norse mythology.

And, thanks to that, you’ll get to fight Thor, the God of Thunder. We’ve already seen him in the previous God of War game where he entered in a… well, thunderous manner.

In God of War: Ragnarok, you can actually fight against him and probably have to kill him as well. But, before you do that, let’s learn a bit about how he’s going to be in the game.

What You Didn’t Know About Thor, God of War?

In this section, we’ll talk a little about the up-and-coming villain of God of War, Thor.

However, before that, here’s something else you need to know. As for the release, the game is not going to come to PC. Nevertheless, when it does release, you’ll be able to download it from Pirate Bay for free. So, please be patient, for it’s all going to worth the wait.

Things to Know – 1: Thor is FAT, According to Norse Mythology.

According to Prose Edda and Poetic Edda, Thor is pretty heavy. And, he’s not only capable of throwing thunder at you but also drinking half the ocean. Besides, he’s a pretty heavy drinker too. Now, couple it with the eating habits, and his size shouldn’t seem surprising to you.

Things to Know – 2: He’s Going to Be One of the Main Antagonist.

During the trailer of the new God of War game, we see Thor calmly asking Kratos if he’s a reasonable person or not. But, don’t let that fool you. He’s going to be a villain of the game in addition to Freya, the Vanir Goddess. We won’t discuss more about it here anymore.

Things to Know – 3: Thor’s Parents are Different.

According to the Norse Mythology, Thor is the son of Odin and Frigga. However, that’s not the case of God of War. In the game, we find him to be the descendent of Odin and Fjorgyn, a giantess. And, he has four half-brothers – Hodr, Tyr, Bragi, and Baldur.

Things to Know  – 4: He’s Bloodthirsty, Indeed.

We’ve already seen this in the MCU’s Thor series. And, the same is seen here as well – Thor is a bloodthirsty, war-hungry prick. Besides, he’s known as the “Biggest Butchering Bastard in the Nine Realms.” He’s just a threatening figure. Deal with it.

Things to Know – 5: Get Ready to Be Bashed By the Mjolnir.

If you’re not living under the rock, you probably already know that Thor’s favorite weapon is Mjolnir, a thunder-calling hammer. And, it’s going to debut in God of War: Ragnarok. So, we will say this now – get ready to be bashed by Mjolnir in 4K. Because, that’s going to happen.

For sure!

Things to Know – 6: Thor and His Cocky “No-Armor” Stance.

Unlike any other God in the game, Thor doesn’t wear any armor or anything as such at all. It was already reported before, and now we’ve seen the same in the trailer of the game too. You can find a bit of leather strapping on his waist. But, that’s about it, to be honest.

Things to Know – 7: Ryan Hurst is Voicing Thor.

The meaty Thor we’re going to meet is voiced by Ryan Hurst, the Sons of Anarchy series. He has quite the baritone voice, TBH. So, it suits quite efficiently in the ever-so-serious face of a God like Thor. So, we’re pretty excited to listen to more voice notes from him.

Ending in a Thunderous Note!

The brand new entry in the God of War series, Ragnarok is going to be released pretty soon. And, fortunately, there’s a lot of hype around the same, thanks to Thor and Freya.

But, at this point, we still don’t know much about the story, besides that Kratos and Atreus are going to meet Fenrir. But, we’re not even sure if they’re going to fight each other or not.

So, we’ll rest our case here and let you play the game to learn more about it.
