To reduce food waste, ‘best before’ labels are being dropped in Europe; less so in the US – where the problem is greatest

Food waste is a global problem: 17 per cent of food globally is uneaten, and in the US 35 per cent. To reduce the amount of waste, ‘best before’ labels are being removed from many products.
