Tokyo Olympics: Japan’s Emperor Naruhito will attend opening ceremony




Japanese Emperor Naruhito will attend the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics on Friday, the Imperial Household Agency said on Tuesday. The agency said Empress Masako will not take part in the ceremony at the National Stadium, as Olympic organisers have been aiming to reduce the number of attendees to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.Many Japanese companies have decided against sending executives to the opening ceremony, in yet another indication of the failing support for the Games…
