A member who visited the The TPC Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur yesterday has now been tested positive.

PETALING JAYA: The TPC Golf Club Kuala Lumpur and a condominium in Brickfields both announced positive Covid-19 cases in its premises today.

A member who visited the club yesterday tested positive for Covid-19, TPC Golf Club said in a notice on its Facebook page. The club will be temporarily closed from today until further notice.

Meanwhile, a tenant at the Menara Pelangi condominium in Brickfields tested positive and is currently being treated at the Sungai Buloh hospital, according to a message from the condominium’s management.

The man works as a cleaner at the Cardio Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) hospital.

Two weeks ago, three employees and a former patient of CVSKL hospital tested positive, with the health ministry calling it the Sentral Cluster.

Four of the man’s colleagues, who are staying with him, were tested this morning at the Tanglin health clinic and are currently being home quarantined at their unit in Block A of Menara Pelangi, with the next test to be carried out in 13 days.

The management said it had disinfected the main entrance, Block A and other common areas. The management also said the health ministry will disinfect the affected unit today.

Meanwhile in Penang, the health ministry has ordered the TGI Fridays restaurant in Queensbay Mall to be closed today afternoon.

FMT has sighted the notice to close the premises at 12.30pm today, with sources telling FMT that the closure may be due to Covid-19 cases or the lack of adherence to SOPs.
