US-EU dialogue on China expected to end with ‘robust’ joint statement




A “robust” joint statement is expected to follow the second US-EU dialogue on China on Thursday, according to a senior US State Department official.At a briefing for reporters ahead of the meeting, the official said there was increasing convergence between the two sides on the challenges posed by Beijing since the inaugural dialogue in May.Deputy secretary of state Wendy Sherman and Stefano Sannino, secretary general of the European External Action Service, will co-chair the meeting on Thursday…
