25 dead in mosque suicide bombing

At least 25 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on a mosque near a police headquarters in Pakistan.

More than 120 are injured. The death toll is expected to rise.

The explosion caused the roof of the mosque to cave in, trapping worshippers.

“I am here at the scene and rescue work is ongoing,” said Peshawar city deputy commissioner Shafiullah Khan.

“More bodies are being taken out. Currently our priority is to save people buried under the debris.”

Those responsible for the attack, and their motive, is unclear at this tage.
