America's largest newspaper chain looking for reporters to only cover Taylor Swift and Beyonce

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — Fans of two of the biggest names in the entertainment industry — Taylor Swift and Beyonce — listen up.

A newspaper publisher in the US is hiring two full-time reporters to cover the stars, CBS News reported.

Gannett, America’s largest newspaper chain, wants one journalist who will exclusively “chronicle the music, fashion, cultural and economic influence of Beyoncé” and another who will “capture the music and cultural impact of Taylor Swift” for USA Today and The Tennessean.

The job openings for both newspapers that are part of the USA Today Network owned by Gannett were announced this week.

While they are looking for “an energetic writer, photographer and social media pro who can quench an undeniable thirst for all things Taylor Swift”, the candidate for the “Beyoncé Knowles-Carter Reporter” position is “an energetic and enterprising writer” who can capture Beyoncé’s effect “not only on the many industries in which she operates, but also on society”.

Both jobs require the successful candidates to be able to travel extensively and not be biased.

Besides a resume, applicants will have to submit a video cover letter.
