KUALA LUMPUR: A 40-year-old man was burnt to death in a fire on the fourth floor of an apartment at Damansara Damai, Selangor, tonight.
Selangor fire and rescue department operations assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said they received a call from the victim’s residence at about 9pm.
He said five fire engines with 18 firefighters from the Sungai Buloh and Damansara fire and rescue stations were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was extinguished by 9.30pm.
“The victim was found burnt to death on a bed in one of the rooms,” he said in a statement.
